Proposed apartment project gets more time

The Board of Zoning Appeals on Wednesday extended approval of a $16 million apartment project proposed by Richbell Capital for 25 Holland Ave.

The variance permission was extended for another six months after it had expired, according to  said Daniel R. Hershberg, the representing agent for the project.

The existing building on the 1.19 acre parcel will be demolished and replaced by the Gallery project, which will include 125 apartments and 170 parking spaces, according to the plans.

The building design consists of five stories of apartment residences over two stories of parking with approximately.

The Gallery on Holland will offer one and two bedroom apartments and a few three bedroom apartments. It will also include walk-in closets, large energy efficient windows, private balconies, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems and an in-unit laundry room with a washer and dryer. The Gallery will include a private lobby, lounge and café gathering area, fitness center, yoga studio, swimming pool, and private movie theater.

Richbell Capital will begin this project during the next six months, and before the approval period from the Board of Zoning Appeals expires.

During the meeting, the representing agent presented the location map in front of the Zoning Appeals members. -30-
